Shoot Jason Voorhees, and he falls down. Problem solved.

Except he gets back up.

Hit him with an axe, run him over, or throw him into a lake. Nothing seems to finish the job. By the third or fourth encounter, the audience has learned something: ordinary weapons aren’t going to stop this guy.

That’s a useful lesson in building persuasive sales arguments.

Suppose you’re selling a course on writing better proposals. You claim your method helps freelancers win more clients.

Your prospect thinks, “Sure it does.”

So you produce a testimonial from someone who landed a client. Nice, but perhaps that freelancer was unusually talented.

You show a before-and-after proposal, explaining exactly what changed. Better, but maybe the improvement was cosmetic.

Next, you present documented results from several freelancers who applied the method. Now the argument becomes harder to dismiss.

Finally, you demonstrate one technique readers can test against their own proposals.

Notice what’s happening. You’re not repeating the same claim louder. You’re attacking different reasons for doubting it.

Each piece of evidence has a separate job. The testimonial establishes personal experience. The before-and-after example makes the method visible. The documented results demonstrate its application. The exercise lets readers judge something for themselves.

Then find a different kind of evidence to address each objection.

Don’t keep firing the same bullet. Build an argument that survives scrutiny.
